Moldova's national legislation to define principle of equal payment for equal value labour between women and men

Chisinau, 10 March /MOLDPRES/ - The national legislation will define the principle of equal payment for equal value labour between women and men, through introducing the notions of remuneration, equal labour and equal value labour. The MPs backed amendments to this end today.  

Thus, employees will be able to demand and get information on the levels of remuneration, depending on the gender, for the carrying out of equal labour or equal value labour.

At the same time, employees will be obliged to inform employees or their representatives, at least once in two years, about the average remuneration according to categories of employees or of positions, segregated on gender basis.
