Non-household consumers to benefit from gas compensation worth 60 million lei

Chisinau, March 17 / MOLDPRES /- Non-household consumers with increased gas consumption in the production process will benefit from compensation for January - March 2022. The decision was approved today in the Committee on Emergencies, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The compensation will be 100% of the difference following the increase of the regulated prices for the supply of natural gas, but not more than 1.5 million lei per consumer. Compensation will be excluded from the compensated amount for the first 500 m3 consumed per month for which the compensation was performed according to Instruction No3 of 01 February 2022 of the CSE.

Compensation will be offered to non-household consumers who purchase from natural gas suppliers, operate in certain fields (indicated below), and whose payments for natural gas (excluding VAT), consumed monthly, represent at least 5% of the sales volume in that month.

In order to benefit from the compensation, the non-household consumers with increased consumption of natural gas in the production process will submit a request on their own responsibility through the portal www.servicii.fisc.md. The portal will contain a dedicated section for completing the application.

The basic activities of non-household consumers seeking compensation are carried out in areas such as: Growing vegetables and melons, roots and tubers; Raising birds; Processing and preserving of fruits and vegetables; Manufacture of dairy products and cheese; Manufacture of milling products, starch and starch products; Bread making; manufacture of fresh cakes and pastries; Manufacture of pasta, noodles, couscous and other similar flour products; Manufacture of animal feed preparations; Manufacture of carpets and rugs; Manufacture of wearing apparel, except fur apparel; Manufacture of wearing apparel by knitting or crocheting; Tanning and dressing of leather; Manufacture of travel and leather goods and harness; fur preparation and dyeing; Footwear manufacturing; Manufacture of glass and glassware; Manufacture of clay building materials.

Also at today's meeting, the CSE decided to set up two new temporary refugee management centers. They will operate in Giurgiulesti, Cahul district and Pârlița, Falesti district. Both structures will be administered by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
