Teams of doctors from several countries came to Moldova to help refugees

Chisinau, March 18 / MOLDPRES /- Medical teams from Spain, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, France, the United Kingdom and Switzerland have come to Moldova to support the medical system in the context of the refugee crisis, MOLDPRES reports.

According to the Ministry of Health, the teams were deployed at border crossing points and temporary refugee placement centers. Their work is coordinated by the Ministry jointly with the World Health Organization.

In total, more than 1,200 refugees were referred to public hospital health facilities, of which about 400 were hospitalized, most of them children. At the same time, staff from primary care institutions consulted 1,491 refugees.
