Moldovan head of state visits northern district

Chisinau, 18 March /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu paid a visit to north Moldova today. The head of state discussed local and national problems with people from the Corjeuti and Larga settlements, Briceni district, the presidential press service has reported.
The Moldovan president listened to people’s troubles and advice. According to Sandu, the war in Ukraine worsens the economic crisis through which Moldova is going and affects the state of each citizen; yet, people want, first of all, peace now.
„Along with the government and parliament, we will do our utmost to maintain the peace in the country and we will continue coming up with measures of support of the economy and of the low-income people,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
