As many as 240 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 21 March /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 1,719 tests have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 240 new cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. 5 out of these cases are import ones. Thus, 510,700 COVID cases have been recorded in Moldova so far.

According to the Health Ministry (MS), 3 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (2 medical assistants, 1 auxiliary staff employee).

As many as 398 people confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 50 are in extremely serious condition and 7 patients are subjected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 1,906 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 4,904 are under supervision at home.

Another 430 people have been treated. As many as 495,398 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.
