Chisinau, March 21 / MOLDPRES /- In an interview with MOLDPRES State News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of the Republic of Moldova Oleg Serebrian said that the economy in the Transnistrian region is overwhelmingly oriented towards the European Union. Businessmen in the eastern districts prefer stability and cooperation.
Referring to the economic aspects of relations with Tiraspol, Serebrian stressed that “most of the Transnistrian region's foreign trade is with the EU. One of the key partners is Romania itself. I believe that this economic proximity of the region to the European space is beneficial for all of us, including from a political point of view ", concluded the Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister.
A not insignificant detail in favor of this statement is the fact that the local team, Sheriff Tiraspol, displayed at the start of the match with Milsami Orhei the banner "Stop the War". The owner of the football club is the strongest businessman in the Transnistrian region, Victor Gușan.
