Ministry of Labor and Social Protection opens collection center at Moldova-Film

Chisinau, March 22 / MOLDPRES /- The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection is opening today, on the territory of Moldova-Film, on Hâncești Highway, 61, a unique center for the collection of products and goods for refugees in Ukraine.

The Secretary General of the Government, Dumitru Udrea, made the announcement yesterday, during a joint press conference with the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Marcel Spatari.

According to Udrea, the decision to stop the activity of the two product collection centers, from TUM and the Railway Palace, was taken in the context of the substantial reduction of aid from the population.

The official said that the total amount of donations of goods and products for the management of the refugee crisis amounts to 4.8 million euros, these humanitarian aid is managed by the central authorities. "Over 4 million euros came through the European Union's civil protection mechanism. Other donations, amounting to 478 thousand euros, are essential products and food donated by the Romanian state and are managed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. through the Vatra deposit and the medicines and medical devices worth 227 thousand euros are managed by the Ministry of Health ", Udrea declared.

There are over 101 thousand refugees from Ukraine on the territory of the Republic of Moldova, of which about 49 thousand are children.
