European Union donated equipment worth over 4.2 million euros to Moldova

Chisinau, 1 April /MOLDPRES/- The European Union through its Civil Protection Mechanism sent to the Republic of Moldova medical equipment from strategic reserve worth over 4.2 million euros.
Today, the Ministry of Health received 250 oxygen concentrators, 240 patient monitors, 20 ultrasound scanners and 20 patient monitoring systems from the Netherlands-hosted medical reserve. At the same time, 50 lung fans and 20 sets of infusion pumps were received from the Hungarian-hosted reserve.
"This donation complements the European Union contribution already offered to the Government of the Republic of Moldova by 18 EU member states. I want to point out that you are an example to all of us because not only have you welcomed the women and children of Ukraine with open arms, but you also provide them with everything they need, including medical care, "said Gintautas Baranauskas, Deputy Head of Operations Department within EU Delegation to Moldova.
Through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, the Ministry of Health recently received 17 electricity generators provided by the French Republic, under the umbrella of the Europe Team initiative.
