About 100 pupils in Moldova infected with COVID-19

Chisinau, April 4 / MOLDPRES /- Nearly 100 pupils in primary, secondary and high school were infected with COVID-19 last week. The data were announced today by the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC).

According to the epidemiological situation on April 1, in the educational institutions of the Republic of Moldova the number of students tested positive with COVID-19 was 131 people. The new coronavirus also infected 12 teachers and five auxiliary staff.

In the country's kindergartens, seven cases of infection among the little ones were registered in the same period, and two educators and an auxiliary employee tested positive for COVID-19.

Currently, there are 22 classes and four kindergarten groups in quarantine.

According to the quoted source, until now, the vaccination rate of primary, secondary and high school teachers is 84.51%. The highest immunization rate is in technical vocational education (86.82%), and the lowest - in preschool education (76.46%).
