Customs Service collected over 637 million lei last week

Chisinau, April 4 / MOLDPRES /- On 28 March -3 April the revenue of the Customs Service to the state budget amounted to over 637 million lei, 7.2% more than the budget burden set for this period.
According to the institution, since the beginning of 2022, the Customs Service has collected 7.3 billion lei from the state budget, with a 23.5% increase compared to the revenues from the corresponding period of 2021. The money collected from taxpayers is paid directly to the state budget.
Also, during the reference period, 11135 customs declarations were made, and the flow of means of transport constituted over 69 thousand crossings. The most frequented customs posts on the Moldovan-Romanian border remain Leuseni and Sculeni, and on the Moldovan-Ukrainian border are Palanca and Tudora.
In the fight against fraud, during the period 37 violations of customs legislation were found and fines amounting to over 135 thousand lei were applied.
