Moldova's Official Journal published government's decision on simplifying procedure for obtaining driving license

Chisinau, 8 April /MOLDPRES/- Government decision approving the regulation on examination procedure for obtaining the right to drive, the issuance and validity of the driving license was published in the Official Journal today.

The proposed amendments to the legislation aim at modernizing and increasing the quality of the public service, by reducing the number of necessary documents, costs, duration of service provision. At the same time, the interoperability of data from the Information Systems of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Research will be ensured, when documenting persons with the right to drive vehicles.

Thus, the regulatory framework for the field will be linked to EU law, by partially transposing the provisions of the European Directive on driving licenses, in terms of requirements for examiners and the examination procedure for obtaining the right to drive, which will bring benefits in the context of the negotiation of Driving License Conversion Agreements.
