Anniversary exhibition by Moldovan painter inaugurated at Chisinau-based museum

Chisinau, 13 April /MOLDPRES/ - An anniversary painting and graphic exhibition on the 90th birthday anniversary of Olga Orlova was inaugurated at the National Art museum of Moldova today.   

In the beginning of the event, the director of the aforementioned museum, Tudor Zbarnea, said the exhibition comprised 51 panting and graphic works from the collection of the institution and the Orlova family.   

Olga Orlova was born in Bender on 19 August 1932. In 1951, she finished the Chisinau-based I. Repin Painting School. Her first personal exhibition was organized in Chisinau in 1953 and as of 1960 Orlova was member of the Moldovan Fine Artists’ Union (UAP). After her debut in 1953, the fine artist participated in more than 100 collective exhibitions organized by the Culture Ministry and UAP in Moldova and abroad: Bulgaria, Russia, Estonia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Latvia, Canada, Armenia, Germany, Kazakhstan, etc.    

The exhibition will be opened till 15 May.
