Moldovan-Romanian tourism project participants met in Ialoveni

Chisinau, April 20 / MOLDPRES /- More issues on development of the actions within a Moldovan-Romanian cross-border project were approached yesterday in Ialoveni at the Regional Development Agency (ADR) Center, one of the partners of the program.

This is the project MuseumInfoTur - enhancing visibility of cultural and historical heritage in the cross-border network of museums - Tourist Information Centers, funded by the European Union through the Joint Operational Program Romania - Moldova 2014 - 2020.

Attending the event were representatives of museums from the center of the Republic of Moldova and Galati County (Romania), partner of the project. In Ialoveni, the city of residence of the Center Development Region, the participants reviewed the locations in the area, visited in a study organized by ADR Center.

"We have already established a fruitful and efficient cooperation in this project, and in Ialoveni we have only consolidated it. During the event, the participants were informed about the activities carried out in the project, as well as about the prospects of collaboration after its completion. At the same time, they talked about their personal experiences in developing tourist routes at the local level, about the particularities that define them. We have a full agenda that we will carry out by mutual agreement", project manager Lilia Turcan said.

Also, the participants watched together a video spot made by ADR Centru within the project, which presents the tourist routes created together with the museum guides.

The project activities are organized by the Center Regional Development Agency, in partnership with the Association for Tourism Development in Moldova and the Cross-Border Cooperation Association Lower Danube Euroregion (Romania).

The project's general goal is to increase the visibility of cross-border cultural and historical heritage of the Central Region, Moldova, and Galati County, Romania by strengthening the capacity of cultural institutions and creating a network of tourist information centers in major destinations.


The project carries out activities related to the development of the capacities of museums, other relevant institutions by creating Tourist Information Centers in eight representative areas, as well as promoting the cultural and historical heritage within a cross-border network.
