Customs Service urges exporters to apply mechanisms to facilitate international trade

Chisinau, April 20 / MOLDPRES /- Moldovan exporters may use the simplified procedure for documenting the preferential origin of goods exported to Turkey, the European Union member states, the CEFTA states and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland by applying for Approved Exporter status. The purpose of the procedure is to facilitate export operations and business relations by complying with Community best practices and promoting the principle of integrity.

According to the Customs Service, holding the certificate of Approved Exporter entitles the exporter to confirm the preferential origin of the exported goods by completing the declarations of origin on a commercial document, regardless of the value of the goods. The Approved Exporter Certificate shall be issued by the Customs Service free of charge and for an unlimited period.

For the Approved Exporter, the need to obtain the certificate of preferential origin from the customs body is excluded, accordingly: the exporter reduces the costs related to the completion of the preferential origin of the exported goods, which is 6 euros for the issuance of each certificate of origin and excludes the need to appear in person at the customs body, but also the de facto presentation of goods, in order to confirm their preferential origin, respectively eliminates the deadline of up to 3 days - set for authentication and issuance of certificates of origin.

Thus, delays related to exports are completely excluded, ensuring compliance with the contractual conditions related to the delivery of goods on time.
