Chisinau, April 29 / MOLDPRES /- A number of measures aimed at contributing to a more effective management of the refugee crisis were adopted at a meeting of the Committee on Emergencies /CSE / chaired by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

Thus, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection will be able to procure services to ensure the functionality of the Refugee Placement Centers, by using a simplified public procurement procedure. Such a procedure will also apply to the contracting of customs brokerage services, in order to manage the storage of goods from humanitarian aid and donations.

Also, in order to effectively monitor the batches of humanitarian aid, the CSE has decided to reduce the reporting deadline on their distribution. According to the amendments, the report on the distribution of aid for the management of the refugee crisis will be submitted within 15 working days, and not 60, as was the case so far.

At the same time, the CSE members decided to allocate, in addition, to the Ministry of Education and Research from the Government intervention fund, financial means in the amount of 322.2 thousand lei. The money will be used to cover the running costs of the Temporary Refugee Placement Centers, which are subordinated to the institution.

At the same time, the framework on the operational activities carried out by the European Agency for Border Police and Coast Guard in the Republic of Moldova was approved. Thus, it is allowed to introduce and remove the goods necessary for the Agency's activity in the Republic of Moldova without applying prohibitions and restrictions.

During the state of emergency, the service relations within the system of penitentiary institutions may be terminated. Decisions can also be found in the text of the CSE Instruction approved at the meeting.
