Press specifications by Moldova's Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry

Chisinau, 4 May /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova benefits from assistance on behalf of the European Union through the European Peace Facility in the defence sector. The concerned assistance does not regard and does not relate to the lethal weapons.   

The activities for the 2021 year included the consolidation of the National Army’s medical capacities and enhancing the Moldovan sappers’ capacities with a support worth 7 million euros.

Six fields of interest have been identified for the next period: military logistics, mobility, command and control, cyber defence, capacities of monitoring the situation and tactical communications.   

Moldova and the European Union continue to cooperate, in order to enhance the resilience and modernize the defence sector.
