Moldovan deputy PM for reintegration pays working visit to Rezina district

Chisinau, 5 May /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian today paid a working visit to the north-eastern Rezina city. The official met representatives of local public authorities, medical employees and teachers from the district, economic agents, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.   

During discussions held with local public authorities’ representatives, the deputy PM exchanged information and opinions on topical subjects for the settlements from the district and potential ways of solving them.  

Among the problems set forth by civil servants from Rezina, there were: the need to improve the local infrastructure, modernization of public institutions and creating the best conditions for pupils, providing facilities to young people from the region, enhancing the access to a wide range of social services and eventual measures for environmental protection, in coordination with the central public authorities.      

Another subject tackled at the visit was focused on the improvement of the living standards through the backing the work of enterprises from this city and district, especially of small and medium-sized enterprises. Thus, the sides stressed the need to boost the activity of the Rezina sub-zone within the Balti-based Free Economic Zone, through measures of attractiveness for new resident economic agents.     

Also in Rezina, Oleg Serebrian discussed with the leadership of the schools from the region. Special attention was paid to the Olimp Theoretical Lyceum from Rezina, where pupils from the Rabnita city, as well as from settlements placed on the left bank of Dniester study. The sides touched upon projects on improving the conditions for education, accessed and implemented at the concerned lyceum through the programme of activities for Moldova’s reintegration, as well as perspectives of cooperation.    

Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian visited also the hospital from the city, which is a unit of crucial importance for the residents of the Rezina city and district, as well as residents from the left bank of Dniester. This institution was also in the focus of the assistance activities from allocations for the country’s reintegration and in 2021, a project on thermal insulation was implemented there, which is particularly useful for the beneficiaries of public health services.  

Another object of strategic importance for the Rezina city and the neighbor districts, including the Transnistrian region, visited by Oleg Serebrian, was the Unit of Rescuers and Firemen from Rezina. This unit of intervention in emergency situations benefited, for its part, from assistance provided through the instrument of financing of projects for Moldova’s reintegration. The sides brought for discussion also long-run fruitful cooperation.      

In the context, the deputy PM gave assurances that the central public authorities would further support the residents of the Rezina city and district with measures of improving the quality of the essential public services for the community.
