New rules to be applied to driving license exam as of today

Chisinau, May 10 / MOLDPRES /- As of today, the new methodology for organizing the examination in order to obtain the right to drive vehicles will be applied in the Republic of Moldova, which provides for the exclusion of the test called polygon.

According to the Public Service Agency / ASP /, for candidates for a category B driving license, the exercises in the polygon subtest will be performed in route conditions and not on the polygon next to the ASP training centers. The practical traffic test will also include the elements of the polygon subtest and will not last more than 25 minutes.

Category B candidates will have to perform one of the following special maneuvers during the traffic test: keeping the lane in reverse for a distance of about 20 m; turning the vehicle in the opposite direction, using forward and reverse; framing the vehicle within the parking space.

The candidates who until 8 May have taken the polygon subtest and have the result Admitted will not exercise the special driving maneuvers.
