Moldovan pupils won several medals at Balkan Mathematics Olympiad

Chisinau, May 10 /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan team won three silver medals, two bronze medals and an honorable mention at the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad. The competition took place in Agros, Cyprus on May 4-9.

The silver medals were obtained by Dan Cernatinschi, Valeriu Ursu and Dragoș Port, pupils of the Theoretical High School Orizont in Chisinau, bronze medals were obtained by Marius Sclearuc, pupil of the Theoretical High School Spiru Haret in Chisinau and Adelina Andrei, pupil of the Orizont Theoretical High School in Chisinau, and the honorable mention was obtained by Victor Purice, a pupil of the Orizont Theoretical High School in Chisinau, according to the Ministry of Education and Research.

96 pupils from 16 countries participated in the Balkan Mathematical Olympiad, with six pupils and two teachers from Moldova.
