Moldovan, Greek officials approach current situation

Chisinau, May 10 / MOLDPRES /- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration had a telephone conversation today with Nikos Dendias, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic and addressed the regional security situation and the impact of the Ukrainian war on European stability, the MAEIE press service has reported.

The Moldovan official thanked the Hellenic Republic for strong message of support for the independence and territorial integrity of both our country and Ukraine.

"We stand in solidarity with our European partners in condemning the military aggression on our Ukrainian neighbors and reiterate the call for peace so necessary for socio-economic recovery," said Popescu.

The officials discussed the progress of our country in Europe and in completing the second part of the questionnaire of the European Commission on the application for membership of the European Union of the Republic of Moldova.

At the same time, the parties agreed to intensify negotiations on the agreement on reducing roaming charges.
