Modernization works started in Sangerei by developing city's infrastructure

Chisinau, May 11 / MOLDPRES /- Sangerei will be modernized by achieving territorial cohesion and developing public infrastructure. This is the general objective of a regional development project implemented by the North Regional Development Agency (ADR) from the sources of the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL).

For carrying out the project, yesterday in Sângerei the modernization works of the locality started through the development of the public infrastructure. On this occasion, a technical meeting was held inside the City Hall on the coordination of the works provided by the two company contracts recently signed at ADR Nord.

ADR North management, local public authorities, the technical manager, the contractors who will carry out the urban revitalization works, discussed the role, responsibilities and interaction procedures between the parties involved in the process of implementing the works execution contracts. Subsequently, the participants in the meeting went to the construction site to inspect some locations targeted by the project.

Two companies have committed to carry out the urban revitalization works within five months.

The value of the enterprise contracts concluded with the two companies is 14.72 million lei, from FNDRL sources, the contribution of the City Hall of Sangerei being 10%.

This year, ADR North is implementing three new urban revitalization projects in the north of the country from FNDRL sources. One of them is the project Sangerei - the city of territorial inclusion, submitted by the City Hall of Sangerei in the Call for selection of regional development projects for 2021-2023. According to the North Regional Operational Program for 2022-2024, such projects aim to strengthen the role and functions of cities in increasing the competitiveness of the region.
