Chisinau, 11 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Energocom stock company has signed a contract on the procurement of 30 per cent of the needed quantity of electric energy for May with the Ukrainian company Ukrhidroenergo, according to provisions of an instruction by the Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE) from 29 April, the Public Property Agency (APP) has reported.

The Ukrainian operator will start the supplies as of 12 May. ‘’We negotiated directly with electric energy producing companies from Ukraine (among which Energoatom, D. Trading, etc.) asking for bids for the providing of 30 per cent of the consumption necessary. Under the contractual conditions, at a request by the Ukrainian side, the procurement price for this commercial contract cannot be divulged; yet, I can confirm that it is a lower price than the bids received at the previous tender,’’ the Energocom acting director, Vladimir Sadovoi, said.

In late last April, Energocom, based on direct negotiations, signed a procurement contract with the Kuchurgan power station (MGRES), at a price of 59.5 dollars/MWh. MGRES assumed to supply 70 per cent of the electric energy for May.

According to CSE, Energocom concludes procurement contracts with producers, after which – with providers and distributors. Preliminary data shows that, at the average price of the electric energy, the current tariffs for the end consumers will not increase. At the same time, ANRE is to analyze the average procurement price, in order to establish whether an adjusting of the tariff will be needed.
