Moldovan pupils took third place in international engineering competition

Chisinau, May 16 / MOLDPRES /- The Moldovan team won third place and a special prize in the Regeneron ISEF International Science and Engineering Competition, held in hybrid format on May 7-13 in Atlanta, USA.
These are Cosmin Ciorbă, a pupil at the Theoretical High School Ion Creanga in Chisinau, and Andrei Copaci, a pupil at the High School of Creativity and Invention Prometheu-Prim in Chisinau, authors of the project -Autonomous Base Station for Drones, who obtained third place in the category of Robotics and Intelligent Machines, as well as a special award from the Shanghai Youth Science Education Society, China.
The competition was attended by 1,748 pupils from 63 countries, who presented 1,410 projects, entered in the 21 thematic categories. The Republic of Moldova was represented by four pupils and a teacher.
Participation in this competition was made possible with the financial support of the National Association of Information and Communication Technology Companies, with the support of the State Agency for Intellectual Property.
