About 7,500 foreigners applied for asylum in Moldova

Chisinau, 17 May /MOLDPRES/- The Migration and Asylum Office received about 7,500 applications for asylum on 24 February - 17 May.
According to the Interior Ministry, since the war in Ukraine, over 425,000 Ukrainians entered in Moldova, about 331,000 left and around 82,000 citizens of Ukraine remained.
In all, in Moldova there are over 86 thousand foreign citizens, of which about 45 thousand are minors (citizens of Ukraine and other nationalities who entered the MD-AU segment of the border).
