Yellow Code of strong wind forecast in Moldova

Chisinau, 17 May /MOLDPRES/ - The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has informed about a Yellow Code of strong wind for 18 May.

According to meteorologists, the north-western wind will gust up to 15-20 metres/second on 18 May.

In these conditions, rescuers recommend that people avoid places where there are dry trees or objects which pose risk of falling to the ground or electric wiring.

Meteorologists said that the weather would slightly cool on the days to come to +19 Celsius degrees during the day. At night, the air temperatures will drop to +7 degrees, preponderantly in the northern region, where it is usually colder.

In case of Yellow Code, the weather conditions are potentially dangerous, the forecast meteorological phenomena are usual for Moldova; yet, they may temporarily become dangerous for certain social and economic activities.
