Procedure of registration of medicines for veterinary use to be simplified in Moldova

Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/ - The procedure of registration of medicines with veterinary use will be improved. The parliament’s commission for environment and regional development approved a draft law to this end today.

The amendments will make clearer the legal conditions of work of the economic activities of manufacturing, wholesale and retail distribution of medicines with veterinary use, as well as of the obligations and powers of the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) in the sector.

One of the draft’s authors, MP Vladimir Bolea said the law on medicines with veterinary use had been approved in 2018. He noted that, in the process of the law’s enforcement, more gaps had been identified. In the end, all these gaps represented exaggerated obstacles and restrictions at the phase of submitting applications for getting the certificate of registration of the medicine with veterinary use.
