Poland to provide Moldova with loan worth 20 million euros on preferential terms

Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/ - The government today approved a draft law on the ratification of an agreement on loan between Moldova and Poland worth 20 million euros. The loan will be provided for a repayment period of 20 years, with an interest rate of as little as 0.01 per cent annually, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The money will be used for financing the state budget’s needs, including the management of the crisis of refugees from Ukraine
Under the agreement, the financial resources will be allocated in one installment in a period of up to three months after the document’s entrance into force.
The agreement on loan was signed by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita in Poland on 8 April 2022.
