Moldovan parliament speaker discusses with group of Romanian MPs

Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu today discussed with a delegation of the commission for public administration and territorial arrangement of Romania’s Chamber of Deputies, on a working visit to Chisinau, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
At the discussions, the speaker reiterated the Moldovan authorities’ determination to continue the processes of Moldova’s European integration and thanked Romania for the support provided to carry out the European integration. At the same time, the parliament speaker appreciated the dynamic of the bilateral dialogue, as well as the consolidation of the inter-parliamentary relations. Seven visits at the level of competent parliamentary commissions from both legislative bodies have taken place in the last half year. ‘’The security crisis and the one of refugees cannot eclipse our special friendship relations and the implementation of joint projects,’’ Igor Grosu said.
The speaker also welcomed the signing of an agreement on cooperation between the commissions for public administration of the Moldovan and Romanians parliaments in Chisinau today. Grosu voiced confidence that the document would boost the supply of quality public services for the citizens of both countries.
The agenda of discussions at the meeting included the subject on the need to supplement the border staff, in order to ease the processes, especially at the Leuseni-Albita border crossing point.
