World Family Doctor Day marked in Moldova

Chisinau, May 19 / MOLDPRES /- World Family Doctor Day is marked in Moldova today. This year the event is held with the slogan Family doctors - always ready to help you.
According to the Ministry of Health, this is an opportunity to highlight that family doctors and their teams are the pillars of the health system, always close to people and providing the necessary medical care to all people, from newborns to elderly.
1,656 family doctors and 4,002 nurses currently work in medical institutions in the Republic of Moldova.
