ASP employee detained by CNA

Chisinau, May 19 / MOLDPRES /- An employee of the Public Service Agency and a woman from Tighina were detained today by CNA officers, suspected of forgery in public documents and false information.

According to the CNA, the two are being investigated for organizing a scheme, which allegedly granted false Moldovan identity documents to foreign nationals. Thus, in December 2021, public figures from the Civil Status Service in Causeni and the Chisinau Identity Release Service of the Public Service Agency, acting in complicity, allegedly issued an identity card on behalf of a Ukrainian, entering false data in the document official.

In the documentation, it was found that in order to complete this type of document, the resident of Tighina identified persons from the Transnistrian region, who previously held the citizenship of the Moldovan Soviet Socialist Republic, but who, after changing the new rules of population registration, did not - would have officially regained the citizenship of the Republic of Moldova and, against a reward, proposed to them to transfer personal data in favor of another person.

The ASP employee and the woman from Tighina are detained for 72 hours.
