Moldovan president meets parliamentary delegation of Kingdom of Netherlands

Chisinau, May 21 / MOLDPRES /- President Maia Sandu met on Friday with a delegation from the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, who paid a working visit to Chisinau. The discussion focused on the security situation in the region and the economic consequences of the war in Ukraine on Moldova, our European agenda and the Moldovan-Dutch bilateral relations, the presidential press service has reported.

The head of state thanked the Kingdom of the Netherlands for support over time through various programs in the social field, as well as for justice reform, energy security or the development of the free press. At the same time, Maia Sandu praised the humanitarian aid provided by the Dutch authorities in recent months to better manage the flow of refugees from Ukraine.

Maia Sandu also mentioned the determination of our country's authorities to continue the process of European integration and voiced hope that the Kingdom of the Netherlands will support the Republic of Moldova in this process.
