Customs Service collected over 710.5 million lei last week

Chisinau, May 23 / MOLDPRES /- Customs Service revenues to the state budget amounted on 16-22 May to over 710.5 million lei (over 30 million euros), up by 24.7% compared to the budgetary burden established for the period.

According to the institution, individuals introduced goods whose customs value exceeds the non-taxable limit, being received payments amounting to over 17 million lei, which represents 2.4% of the total amount collected for that period.

Last week, 10,701 customs declarations were made, and the flow of means of transport constituted 81,978 crossings. Regarding the fight against fraud, during the period covered, 70 violations of the customs legislation were found and fines amounting to over 347 thousand lei were applied.

"In the same context, we mention that since the beginning of this year, Customs has collected 11.7 billion lei from the state budget, being attested an increase of 24.8% compared to the revenues from the corresponding interval of 2021", the Customs Service press release reads.
