Over 7,500 foreigners applied for asylum in Moldova

Chisinau, May 23 / MOLDPRES /- The Migration and Asylum Office received over 7,500 asylum applications on 24 February -23 May.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, over 431 thousand Ukrainian citizens entered our country, another 338 thousand left and about 80 thousand Ukrainian citizens remained.
In total, in Moldova there are over 84 thousand foreign citizens, including about 44 thousand are minors (citizens of Ukraine and other nationalities who entered the MD-AU segment of the border).
