Judge from Moldovan capital to get on trial

Chisinau, 23 May /MOLDPRES/ - The file of a magistrate from Chisinau, suspected of deliberate pronouncing of a conclusion running counter the law, has been sent to court.   

According to the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, the magistrate is charged with the fact that, while exercising the position of judge at the Chisinau Court, Rascani Headquarters, contrary to the legal provisions and similar judicial practice in the field, in 2020, he pronounced and deliberately signed an illegal conclusion, which take the form of a judicial act of disposition.    

According to the act on charge, the concerned magistrate is accused of the fact that, through the issuance from 2020, he instructed the suspension of the enforcement of decisions by the National Commission of Financial Market on measures against shareholders of the Moldasig stock company and establishing a special provisional administration as one-man executive body of this company; respectively, at the same time, he instructed the exercising by a nominated audit company of the powers of the council of the aforementioned insurance company.  

Prosecutors said that, in the process of hearing on the circumstances of the case investigated, the concerned magistrate pleaded not guilty.
