Moldovan PM to participate in Davos World Economic Forum

Chisinau, 23 May /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita on 24-25 May will participate in the Davos World Economic Forum. She is the first PM of Moldova to be invited to this meeting. At bilateral meetings within the panels of discussions, the prime minister will bring to attention of world leaders the challenges faced by Moldova, in the wake of the war unleashed in Ukraine. At the same time, Gavrilita will speak about the importance of strategic investments in Moldova on the next period, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.      

In this respect, Natalia Gavrilita will have a string of bilateral meetings with her counterparts from more states and will hold discussions with Director General of the French Development Agency Remy Rioux and Director General of the International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva.  

At the same time, the prime minister will give speeches at the discussion on the management of the migration flow, in the context of the refugees’ crisis, as well as within the panel on the European Union’s neighbourhood policy. 

The works of the World Economic Forum are held on 22-26 May. Political leaders, business experts, representatives of mass media and civil society from all over the world will be present at the Swiss resort.    

They will discuss subjects on the war in Ukraine, the pandemic situation, food security, prices for energy. The participants in the Davos forum will present the action plans, strategies and policies on the international security, global cooperation, economic rebalancing, industry’s transformation and environmental protection.
