Low-wage employees to get compensation from state

Chisinau, May 25 / MOLDPRES /- The amount of compensatory payments in the budget sector would be increased. A draft law in this regard was approved today by the parliamentary committee on social protection, health and family.

According to the document, employees in the budget units who, after the entry into force of the provisions aimed at increasing the amount of compensatory payments will have a monthly salary of less than 3,500 lei (about 175 euros), calculated for a position with normal duration they will be able to benefit from compensatory payments.

The amount of the minimum guaranteed salary in the budget sector for 2022 was set at 3,100 lei.

The implementation of the project provisions will require financial means of 136 million lei for this year, which will be covered from the fund provided in the state budget.
