Prosecutors demand 30 days of arrest in case of former Moldovan president, detained on 24 May

Chisinau, 25 May /MOLDPRES/ - Anticorruption prosecutors today registered approaches on the enforcement of the measure of preventive arrest for a 30-day period against the former Moldovan president and the second person, detained on 24 May.
The prosecutor in charge of communication of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Mariana Cherpec, has made statements to this effect.
The former head of state on 24 May was detained, being suspected of having committed the offence provided for in the Article 324 (passive corruption), Article 181/2 (acceptance of financing of the political party by a criminal organization), Article 337 (high treason) and Article 330/2 (illicit enrichment).
