Moldovan, Czech officials approach cooperation

Chisinau, May 26 / MOLDPRES /- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration began his visit to the Czech Republic with a meeting with Miloš Vystrčil, President of the Senate of the Czech Republic's Parliament, the MAEIE press service has reported.

"In the context of the Czech Republic taking over the presidency of the EU Council in the second half of 2022, a priority topic of our discussions was the European integration of the Republic of Moldova and the determination to implement the process of deep internal reforms launched by our government team, appreciating message of support for the European integration of the Republic of Moldova sent by the President of the Czech Senate", said Popescu.

The sides also spoke about the bilateral relationship, including at the parliamentary level, developments in the region and the consequences on the Republic of Moldova of the war in Ukraine.

Popescu thanked the senior official from Prague for the help in managing the refugee crisis.
