Employees with low salaries to receive compensations in Moldova

Chisinau, 26 May /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament, at a today’s meeting, adopted measures of backing the low-income employees from the public sector units.

Thus, the MPs amended the law on the single salary payment system in the public sector, in order to increase the quantum of compensatory payment from 3,100 to 3,500 lei.

Therefore, the employees from the public sector units who, after the entrance into force of the provisions regarding the increase of the quantum of compensatory payments, will have a monthly salary lower than 3,500 lei, calculated for a position with a normal duration of the working time, will benefit from compensatory payments.

The financial means needed for the draft’s implementation are estimated at 136 million lei for this year, which will be covered from the fund provided for in the state budget.
