Moldova's Commission for Emergency Situations approves new measures to facilitate export, back Ukrainian refugees

Chisinau, 30 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE) has intervened with new measures to stimulate the export of perishable agricultural products, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

According to an Instruction approved at a today’s CSE meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita, the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA), jointly with the General Border Police Inspectorate (IGPF), are to elaborate and approve a procedure of carrying out the export through green corridors, established at border crossing points.  

At the same time, the import of food products will be banned, if at least a half of the validity term established by the producer remained. As for the products with the validity term from 90 days to 18 months, the import interdiction will be applied at the reaching of the quota of one third of the product’s validity term.     

Another provision of the Instruction refers to the inclusion of the children of Ukrainian refugees, who stay in Moldova, in the single programme of mandatory health insurance (AOAM). The expenses borne by the medical institutions will be covered by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), based on an agreement on partnership concluded with the National Health Insurances House on this purpose.

The term of payment of the rights of import by the Moldovagaz stock company of the natural gas carried through pipelines in April 2022 was extended till 30 June 2022. The prices for the supply of natural gas, enforced as of 1 June, are to be considered and approved by the National Energy Regulatory Agency till the end of May.  

Also, under its decision, CSE allows the commercialization of arms and ammunitions from the civil circulation by armourers to authorized people, with more conditions dealing with the spaces for sale of arms, spaces of depositing, as well as the procedure of registration of items commercialized in the register for recording the ammunitions sold, with the daily informing of the competent subdivision of the Police.
