Law-enforcers sanction over 2,100 drivers in Moldova in last week-end

Chisinau, 30 May /MOLDPRES/ - Over 2,100 drivers in the last week-end were stopped and sanctioned by patrol inspectors for the infringement of the road traffic regulations.

According to the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), 42 drivers were fined and prevented from driving, being detected drunk. At the same time, 1,144 drivers exceeded the speed limit; 286 drivers ignored the road signs and the ones of giving priority in traffic; another 293 drivers were fined for the failure to couple the safety belt.

At the same time, on the days-off, policemen intervened in almost 137 cases, with the calls received by the 112 Single Service.
