Soldanesti high school to be energy efficient with EU help

Chisinau, May 31 / MOLDPRES /- The completion of the energy efficiency project of the Alexei Mateevici Theoretical High School in Soldanesti is planned for the end of 2022. This was discussed by the members of the Local Steering Committee of the project, who met yesterday in Soldanesti.

As a result of the implementation of this investment measure, 71 employees and 560 pupils of the Alexei Mateevici Theoretical High School will benefit from better working and study conditions, the normalized annual energy consumption in the high school will be reduced by 970 MWh, and the annual emissions CO2 emissions reduced by 200 tonnes, according to the Regional Development Agency (ADR) Center.

The planned works are related to the following indicators: 6851.8 m² renovated building, 10928.53 m² insulated surface, 4897 m² insulated exterior walls, 1114 m² changed windows and exterior doors, 2958.4 m² insulated floor, built photovoltaic systems. The value of the enterprise contract is 49,065,541.05 lei (about 2.5 million euros).

The investment measure Increasing the energy efficiency of the Theoretical High School Alexei Mateevici in Soldanesti is implemented by ADR Center and funded by the European Union in cooperation with the project Modernization of Local Public Services in Moldova. It is implemented by the Agency for International Cooperation of Germany in partnership with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development and financially supported by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
