Street to be renovated in Calarasi uniting several tourist objectives

Chisinau, June 2 / MOLDPRES /- Regional Development Agency (ADR) Centru, the Călărași District Council, the Călărași city hall and the designated enterprise signed an enterprise contract within the regional project using tourist potential of the central region of the Republic of Moldova, which provides for the renovation of a section of 1.4 km of road, which unites several tourist attractions. The start date has been set for June 13.

The project is funded by the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL) and co-financed by the project beneficiaries. Under the contract, the contractor undertook to carry out the work within ten months. The value of the enterprise contract is 18,280 869.80 lei (almost one million euros), the beneficiary's contribution being 10% of the investment cost.

"Through this project, the local authorities aim to increase the tourism activity of the Centru Development Region by rehabilitating the physical infrastructure related to the tourist objectives in the city of Călărași", indicates ADR Centru.

ADR Center has achieved a number of objectives in the regional project to capitalize on the tourism potential of the Central region of the Republic of Moldova aiming at the development of cultural heritage and tourism infrastructure. The renovation of Mihai Eminescu Street in SCalarasi will improve access to a number of important tourist attractions such as: Amphitheater Scene, Museum of History and Ethnography, Alley of Classics and other tourist attractions in the area.
