Authorities fix situation after detaining two Moldovan aircraft at Antalya airport

Chisinau, June 6 / MOLDPRES /- The Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Moldova last night updated the information on the operation of flights by Air Moldova following the grounding of two aircraft at the airport in Antalya (Turkey).

According to the institution, thanks to the efforts made by the aeronautical authorities of both states with the involvement of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Turkey, it was possible to lift the restriction imposed for aircraft A 321 with NoYR-ADI registration, all special procedures for preparing the aircraft for the execution of flights.

"Starting today, June 6, the restrictions are expected to be lifted for the second A-319 aircraft with NoER-AXL registration system, which is also located at Antalya Airport, respectively being used to the maximum capacity of the company Air Moldova company. To mitigate the grounding effects of Air Moldova company, at the request of the latter, were authorized additional flights of Turkish companies Pegasus - 1 flight Antalya - Chisinau - Antalya (186 passengers / segment each) for 05.06.2022 and Freebird - 1 flight Antalya - Chisinau - Antalya (of 180 passengers / segment each) for the date of 06.06.2022 ”, indicates the Civil Aeronautical Authority.

In the case of an irregular charter flight, when the passenger has purchased a tour package through a travel agency and has no direct contractual relationship with the airline, the passenger is to address requests and complaints to the travel agency, and subsequently, in case of a unsatisfactory result, addressed to the Civil Aviation Authority.
