Exhibition about Romanian cultural values opened at Moldova's National Library

Chisinau, 6 June /MOLDPRES/ - An exhibition titled, Mihai Eminescu – Vasile Alecsandri: Romanian Cultural Values, was opened at the National Library (BNRM) today.

According to the exhibition’s curator, Tatiana Gheiceanu, the exhibition displays a wide spectrum of documents from BNRM’s collections, which show the life and work of the two most outstanding Romanian poets of the 19th century.

Rare books, facsimile editions, postcards, envelopes, stamps, medals, archive documents, miniature books, editions published during the authors’ lives and posthumous editions translated in various languages are presented at the exhibition. Those about 100 publications are systematized in two sections dedicated to the creators of the modern literary language: Mihai Eminescu - Vasile Alecsandri.

The exhibition may be visited till 25 July.
