Water supply system in Falesti modernized with EU support

Chisinau, June 7 / MOLDPRES /- About 16,500 inhabitants of Falesti will benefit from modernized drinking water supply services, thanks to a project funded by the European Union.

The works in Fălești were executed in March 2021 - May 2022 within the project Improving water supply and sanitation services in the city of Fălești. Thus, within the project, 31.4 km of water supply networks were rehabilitated and extended, of which 18.4 km - main supply and 13 km - individual connections. Also, 113 manholes, 62 hydrants were built / installed and 1625 connections (individual connections) were made.

The total value of the project is 35.88 million lei, of which 32.57 million lei (about 1.6 million euros) - granted by the European Union, and 3.31 million lei - local contribution.

The investment measure Improving water supply services in Falesti is funded by the European Union and implemented by ADR Nord and the project Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova (MSPL). The MSPL project is funded by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ Moldova) in partnership with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development of the Republic of Moldova.
