ANRE initiated controls at several oil companies

Chisinau, June 9 / MOLDPRES /- The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) has filed a complaint in the context of information in the public domain, and has checked several oil companies that have been reported as not selling petrol and diesel.

"The National Energy Regulatory Agency has initiated unannounced inspections at some oil companies to determine the cause of the lack of certain types of fuel at certain filling stations, especially diesel. ANRE inspectors are to contrast the information obtained from the filling stations with the data on the stocks from the oil companies' warehouses, in order to identify the real reasons that led to the cessation of trading and to give an assessment in terms of the legislation in force of their actions," today's statement of the institution reads.

At the same time, in order to facilitate the logistics of the state supply of fuels, ANRE, together with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, established a daily mechanism for reporting by oil importers of information on transport units (tankers / wagons) stationed at crossing the state border.

"The data obtained are then transmitted to the institutions responsible for identifying the fastest and most efficient measures to streamline the trafficking of petroleum products, so that the daily balance allows the increase of stocks at importers' warehouses", ANRE said.
