Number of trolleybuses running in Moldovan capital reduced in summer

Chisinau, June 13 / MOLDPRES /-In summer, the number of trolleybuses running on the streets of Chisinau was reduced.

Chisinau Electric Transport Authority (RTEC) director Dorin Ciornii said that starting with June, the number of trolleybuses running on the line was reduced by about 8%.

"Currently, 305 trolleybuses are issued daily on the line, 25 less than in the autumn-spring period. The decision was made because the number of passengers decreases during the summer. The waiting time in the stations has changed non-essential, because the traffic flow has also decreased ", said Dorin Ciornîi.

According to the RTEC management, during this period, the employees of the institution carry out repair works of the transport units.

Currently, 430 trolleybuses are registered in the company's park, of which 330 are issued daily on the line. Over 100 trolleybuses are equipped with air conditioning, which is about 30%.
