Moldovan president attends iProsop Festival

Chisinau, June 13 / MOLDPRES /- President Maia Sandu went on 12 June to Selemet village, Cimișlia district, and participated in the traditional iProsop Festival, the presidential press service has reported.
"Bright people with a big heart, people who love their country and honor their traditions - these are the people I met at the fourth edition of the iProsop Festival," Maia Sandu wrote on her Facebook page. During the activities at Selemet, the head of state admired the works of folk craftsmen and the national costume of the participants, caught up with the members of the artistic groups who came to the festival from all over the country and tasted the goodies generously offered by our land.
Maia Sandu congratulated the inhabitants of Selemet village, led by Mayor Tatiana Badan for the idea of celebrating the hand-woven towel - a piece of resistance of our national heritage, carefully created by our mothers and grandmothers. "Thank you for the consistency with which you keep the values and revive the traditions, contributing to the unity of our country and making it better known in the world," the president said.
"The beautiful day of Holy Sunday this year is, above all, about peace and good understanding. I wish you all peace and tranquility, peace for Moldova and for the whole world ", wished the head of state to the participants in iProsop-2022.
