Urban revitalization project started in Ocnița

Chisinau, June 14 / MOLDPRES /- Works for the arrangement of the territory and the repair of the historical-architectural area of ​​the locality, as well as of four streets started in Ocnita. They will be implemented in an urban revitalization project implemented by the North Regional Development Agency (ADR) from the sources of the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL).

According to ADR Nord, by the end of this year, the contractor has undertaken to execute the works specified in the enterprise contract in accordance with the provisions of the technical project, as well as with the norms, standards and technical prescriptions. The value of this contract is 6.22 million lei (over three hundred thousand euros), the contribution of Ocnița city hall is 10%.

Before the start of the project, a technical meeting was held inside the Ocnița city hall on the coordination of the works provided in the enterprise contract recently signed at ADR Nord. Agency specialists, local public authorities, the technical manager, the contractors who will carry out the urban revitalization works discussed the role, responsibilities and interaction procedures between the parties involved in the process of implementing the works execution contracts. Subsequently, the participants in the meeting went to the construction site to inspect some locations targeted by the project.

This year, according to FNDRL sources, ADR Nord is implementing three new urban revitalization projects in the north of the country. One of them is the project Keeping the past for the future - Rehabilitation of the historical heritage of Ocnița for future generations, submitted by Ocnița city hall in the Call for selection of regional development projects for 2021-2023. According to the North Regional Operational Program for 2022-2024, such projects aim to strengthen the role and functions of cities in increasing the competitiveness of the region.
